The Predators issued a statement Friday saying Johansen had emergency surgery after sustaining a left thigh injury during Thursday's Game 4 of the Western Conference finals against the Ducks. The estimated recovery time is two to three months.

Analysis: It's a big loss for Nashville in its quest to win the Stanley Cup as Johansen's 13 points in 14 playoff games were leading the team.
