No. 11 Texas Tech rolls, is now 9-0

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) Some down time did 11th-ranked Texas Tech well.

Coming off a six-day break for final exams, the Red Raiders rolled past Northwestern State 79-44 on Wednesday night, ignited by a dominant first half.

Jarrett Culver scored 15 points, Tariq Owens had 14 points and eight rebounds and Tech bolted to a 43-point halftime lead.


Houston rallies from 15 down, beats LSU

HOUSTON (AP) Galen Robinson Jr. heard the "LSU! LSU!" chants with Houston down 15 points in the second half.

"It really touched a nerve, so I was like, `There's no way I'm quitting, no way we are losing this game.'" Robinson said. "That's the mindset that I had."


Williams, Louisville survive Lipscomb

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) Malik Williams may like to drift out and shoot a 3, but Louisville needed its power forward to grab every rebound he could get his hands on.

The sophomore did Wednesday night, grabbing 13 rebounds that included 10 on the defensive end to go with 10 points to help the Cardinals fend off Lipscomb 72-68 on Wednesday night.


Bol has 20, leads Oregon past San Diego

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) Bol Bol had 20 points and nine rebounds as Oregon relied on its defense and rebounding to get past San Diego 65-55 on Wednesday night.

Payton Pritchard added 12 points and seven assists for the Ducks (6-3), who won the rebounding battle 35-31 after trailing 18-11 at halftime.


Bowman, Popovic carry BC past Columbia

BOSTON (AP) Boston College Jim Christian doesn't believe there's a big gap between teams in college basketball like there was when he played.

He certainly wasn't going to let his team overlook an Ivy League team, especially after what happened around the country a night earlier.


Rebels top SE Louisiana for 4th in row

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) Devontae Shuler scored 19 points, Terence Davis added 15 points, six rebounds and four assists and Mississippi beat Southeastern Louisiana 69-47 on Wednesday night.

Ole Miss (7-2) has won four straight and is now 18-0 all-time against Southeastern Louisiana.


Temple rallies in 2nd half past UMass

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Shizz Alston Jr. scored a career-high 31 points and made 3 of 4 foul shots in the last nine seconds and Temple rallied then held off UMass 65-63 on Wednesday night.

Less than a minute into the second half, Samba Diallo's 3-pointer gave the Minutemen a 40-27 lead. That triggered a 16-2 Temple run and De'Vondre Perry's layup put the Owls (8-2) ahead 43-42. Quinton Rose scored half the points during the run. Jonathan Laurent's layup with 11:54 to play gave UMass (6-5) its last lead at 46-45. Alston put Temple ahead with two foul shots 54 seconds later.


Haws' 30 leads BYU over Portland State

PROVO, Utah (AP) TJ Haws made five 3-pointers and scored a career-high 30 points to lead BYU to an 85-66 victory over Portland State on Wednesday night.

BYU (8-4) has won two straight since snapping a three-game skid. Portland State (5-4) has lost two of its last four games.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Phil Booth took the potential tying shot with hands that have slipped on two Villanova national championship rings, and a tick of the clock suddenly seemed endless.
